It was a quiet death. We woke this morning to find that Braedy had died while we were asleep. He was a good dog, well loved, and he will be quite missed. I'm numb. The grief hits me in odd waves here or there. When the tears come, I cry them out, and try to remember that he's not in pain anymore. He's not laboring to breath or restlessly trying to get comfortable. We buried him this morning out at dee's dad's house in Michigan. It was a sunny spot, surrounded by trees, and we made the best of what we could. Our friend Rich, helped us bury him, actually I should say he did all the hard work and made us leave so that we wouldn't have to watch the dirt be filled in. We tried to keep the conversation light, and it was actually a nice gathering of some of us who loved Braeden. I can appreciate that he cried for my dog, that Braeden touched his life the same way he filled mine. The house is eerily quiet, Gypsy seems unaffected. Listening to Loki (the chiggerman) wail in the kitchen was heart-rending. All is quiet here. All is quiet.

In loving memory, of my first dog on my own, my dear, dear Beowhoop, Braedybarloo, Bubbachong, sweetest dog I've loved.

The lab work came in. Braedy has a bladder infection, and some type of diabetes, that doesn't involve their sugar levels. Got another shot today, medicine, and new dog food. We go back Wednesday.

Branwyn kitty, is getting fixed, we get her back Friday. Let me tell you - she hates me. I look like something that came out of a shredder machine. She is angry kitteh.

We're keeping our hopes up that we can get bubs all better! Thank you for your prayers.

Got Braeden an appt. at 3:10 this afternoon. That has to be the hardest phone call I've ever made in my entire life. I called Tracy, to let her know what was up, it's only fair she loves him too, and he was her dog as well for several years. She was very sweet and offered to come over and cook us dinner, and meet me at the vet. I'm so sad. I'll post more after I get home.

Edit:

Went to the vet - they're doing lab work, and a urinanaylis, and gave him a shot. I go back Wednesday. On the plus side girl cat is getting spayed.

So... I just wanted to let everyone know, that I'd really appreciate if you would keep my doggie, Braeden, in your thoughts and prayers. He seems really sick, he's drinking a ton of water, and almost instantly peeing. He also doesn't seem to know he's peeing. He is also very lethargic, and not his usual self. Also, he's gone completely blind. I'm going to be arranging a vet appointment for him ASAP. And well, if we have to put him down, we have to put him down. I'm not going to let him suffer so that I can eek out a few more days with him. He is very, very precious to me, and what's best for him is what will happen. Somewhere, we'll find the money, and he'll get what he needs. Thanks for tuning in. :(

Robert Jordan we shall miss you, and your never ending Wheel of Time Series, where you have more questions than answers as you progress forward. You were the author of my teen years, when I read every fantasy book I could get my hands on, because of you I still have nightmares about Mosha'dar (sp?) tendrils devouring my soul. I am exceptionally sad that Robert Jordan passed away on Sunday of a rare blood disease. He was working on his 12th book in the Wheel of Time series and I wonder if it will be published posthumously.

Ah so the creativity's died down... but I have been working non stop on my splash page and I may just need a break, I also kinda have a vision for the innards. I'm still not sure about the navigation, but I'm certain it will all come together.

Well I've got the main image for my web page created, and I'm finally happy with it now I just need to dress it up and merge it into a back ground image. Or not. I'm still on the fence with that one.  I've been really thoughful about this page. More so than I think I have in the past. And since it's coming from scratch, it's not all theme-y. Normally I'd go find a graphic I liked, and put it on one side of a frame and all the other stuff in the other panel. I'm not sure that I'm going to go with frames. If I do go with frames it won't be with the same navigation system as before.  Don't get me wrong I loved my old layouts, it's just time for change. But I wanted to say, YAY, I got the main splash image done.

I'd also like to say YIKES! I'm doing a new page.

So I'm in love...with Photoshop and brushes. This is not an area I let myself explore before. And I'm truly madly deeply in love with it. It makes me wish I had a newer version of Photoshop, but this old dino can still make some stellar stuff. So I don't feel so graphically handicapped with my upcoming design for my web page.

I don't have a problem coding.  Coding is easy. It's logical. Especially if you have a reference for what you are trying to do, and a good editor to check your code. Thankfully I have both. The problem I have now.... is if I'm going to stick with my title. Origionally I was going to design my graphics off of that... have a pretty little lotus in the corner and stuff. But I feel myself breaking away from that now that I can... be very free graphically.

I'm so excited.. but *Gasp* there are so many wonderful brushes... how to chose... well I'm off to play around with it some more.

edibleflowers because now you have me all wanting to be webpage crafty too! I've already pulled down my old site, because by god I want to make it fresh. And because I've changed a lot since I put it up, and because I'm crazy.

So here's my plan, I'm going to totally revamp everything and get away from my old form, and I'm going to plot this out a lot. The art is already driving me crazy because .... I have too many ideas. I think I'm going to keep the same name - which I've explained in my new cover page.

I have a lot of thoughts swirling like - background colors, the splash page, the content.

I want to be really vulnerable and post all my work, even if it's crappy, even if it's personal. I want to be open. But I really want to make it a grown up page. And yes that statements pens back to conversation I had with Miss Flowers. o.o I'm scared and excited.

I'm thinking of going with a background color like the text color is now. Maybe with an image of a lotus or something. I just don't know where to dive in and I've given myself a headache with thinking about it and looking at art so now i'm going to take break. Because I suck at the whole art aspect.

I just know I'm going to build it up in my head and then it will suck! RAWR.

So it turns out that the neighbors were selling cocaine. O.O

They found a scale, baggies, white pills, miscellaneous mail. But no cocaine. Meaning that they sold what they had.  The cops had purchased from them so they know for certain that they were selling.

NOTHING MAKES ME HAPPIER THAN LIVING NEXT TO DRUG DEALERS!!!!

What gets me is how they're laughing it up, and acting like its no big deal. You know it's everyday that you get raided by S.W.A.T!
